The Canadian Parks and Wilderness Society Northern Alberta Chapter presents:
Love Your Headwaters!

Many people know that the water that they use every day comes from the river, but how many know where their river comes from? Join CPAWS for an exciting exploration of the national significance of Alberta's rivers, and the importance of headwaters to our everyday life.
The goal of the Love Your Headwaters Campaign is to gain protection for an area called the Bighorn Backcountry. This area, near Nordegg, AB, is the source of almost 90% of the water that we use in Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan. It is also home to many threatened wildlife species.
Learn how parks and protected areas can protect headwaters ecosystems, the many animals depending on them, and provide value to those living downstream!

Wednesday, April 5 | 7 – 8:30 pm | Fireplace area
