Bringing the Library to Life With Art!
We are thrilled to showcase the talents of our community’s artists while supporting both local creativity and our Library.
Our gallery will feature a diverse array of artwork throughout the year, ranging from paintings and photographs to mixed media pieces. Each piece is available for purchase, providing an opportunity for art enthusiasts to bring a piece of local talent into their offices or homes.
What makes our gallery unique is our commitment to supporting artists and our Library’s mission. When a piece is sold, the Library receives a 20% donation from the sale. This not only helps sustain our library’s operations but enables us to continue providing valuable resources and programming to the community.
For local artists, this partnership offers a platform to showcase their work to a wider audience and potentially generate income from their art. It fosters a supportive environment where artists can thrive and connect with art lovers in the community.

If you are interested in having your art showcased in the Library, please email twall@fspl.ca.
The current art display will be available for viewing and purchase until September 2026. If you’re interested in purchasing a piece or have any inquiries, please speak to the staff at the front desk. We’re excited to share the talents of our local artists with you and invite you to explore the beauty and creativity in the Library!
Bio- Annalisa and Allen Grahn:
Annalisa has always drawn, especially horses, as far back as she can remember. Her painting career started with left over paint from a small paint- by – number given her by a family friend when she was about ten. So that first picture was heavy on green and black, smeared as thin as possible.
But by the time she married her husband, Allen, (also an artist) she had discovered oils, her favorite.
Allen also has always drawn and painted with whatever he could find. He too likes oils, but prefers watercolor. He has also done batiks – watercolor on rice paper.
Anna and Allen have taken summer art classes together and been members of the Bashaw Art Club. Allen taught school in Bashaw. They also had a busy framing shop in Ferintosh, where they lived.
Five years ago Anna and Allen moved to Fort Saskatchewan to be nearer family.
