Our library is connected to libraries throughout Alberta and Canada, working together to give you access to what you want. And we always welcome suggestions for purchasing an item to add to our library. Just click on "Suggest a Purchase" and fill out the form!

The Interlibrary Loan (ILL) Service attempts to get materials you need from other libraries’ collections. Please check the FSPL Library Catalogue before placing any requests.

Please note:

  • Relais D2D has been launched and this is the new system for requesting an Interlibrary Loan item. TAL Online can still be used to lookup items, but requests need to be made through Relais D2D.
  • Items from the Strathcona County Library can be requested by placing a hold on items in the FSPL Library’s Catalogue.
  • Requests are accepted from all customers with a valid Fort Saskatchewan Public Library card in good standing. You must use your own card when you request an interlibrary loan.
  • Items published within the past year cannot be requested. If you would like FSPL to purchase the item, please see “Suggest a Purchase” for more details.
  • Requests are limited to 10 items per patron at a given time.
  • Depending on the material, an interlibrary loan may take 3 to 6 weeks to obtain.

Place a request online by visiting Relais D2D.

If you are having trouble placing an Interlibrary Loan request, please fill out this form and we will do our best to fill the request on your behalf.
